The Manitouwadge Fire Department provides Emergency and Standard First Aid with CPRC & AED Training.  If you are looking for individual, group or business training contact us for details.

At this time there is no planned First Aid Courses.  If you are interested in taking first aid, please contact Jen to discuss the options.  A waiting list is being kept, once we see an interest we will set a date.

Carbon Monoxide Alarm

DOES MY HOUSE REQUIRE A CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM?
Ontario passed a law on October 15, 2014  that requires every home in Ontario that is equipped with fuel burning appliances (propane or oil), wood or pellet stove, and attached garages, to have a carbon monoxide alarm.

About the Manitouwadge Fire Department

The Manitouwadge Fire Department operates from one fire hall which is adjoined to the Municipal Office located in the middle of town at 1 Mississauga Drive. Staffing is provided by a full time Fire Chief and 22 volunteer Fire Fighters.   Service is provided with two triple combination pumpers with ratings of 1050 gpm.   A rescue unit which carries a crew of 8 is equipped with a 20 KVA onboard generator and light tower along with auto extrication and water/ice rescue equipment.   This unit doubles as a mobile command post with seating and table space for 6.   The Fire Department has15 self-contained breathing apparatuses (SCBA), and its own compressor.   The hall is also equipped with Auto-Extrication Equipment and a Pet Ventilation System.   The dispatch office is set up with stand-by power to operate the lights, heat and communication equipment.   Water for fire fighting is provided throughout the community with 153 hydrants.  
The Fire Department is responsible for the surrounding area of Manitouwadge.  This area includes Highway 614, Industrial Road to Caramat, and Camp 70 as far as Hillsport.
